How Sambol handles your data when you book a table, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Date, time and party size of the booking
- Any special requests you choose to share (e.g. dietary needs)
Why we need it
Your details are processed on the lawful basis of contract — we need them to hold a table for you, contact you about the booking, and meet legal record-keeping obligations. Special requests such as allergies are processed only to keep you safe during your visit.
Where it is stored
Bookings are stored in our Google Calendar (Google LLC, under Google's standard data processing terms). Emails are sent via Resend (Resend, Inc.). Both providers offer EU data processing addenda. We do not sell your data, do not use it for marketing, and do not share it outside these processors.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for up to 12 months after the visit and then delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or restrict how we use it. Email privacy@sambol.example. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
